Peach State WoW

The 2005 Peach State Open is next weekend, July 22-24, and I'll be playing in it.

What chess study and playing have I done since Emory?

Well, I'm afraid I've been sucked into the World of Warcraft, an MMORPG, affectionately known as Warcrack.

At least finally the age old question can be answered: Is Warcraft suitable training for weekend Swiss tournaments?

I'll let you know.

Not me, but you get the idea.

Take a break from the RPG a little before the tournament starts to freshen up on your chess. This is important!

Well it's looking like I'll be taking a break from everything. Looks like I'm catching a cold.

That's a bummer. Hope you feel better soon.

The standalone version of Warcraft has been one of my favorite games over the years. I've not tried the online versions (thank goodness!).

Until then you'd better fire up CT-Art! Good luck next week!

I used to be a Quake-a-holic. :)

I still like Soldier of Fortune II. Gotta love the shotguns....

So how is the tournament going?

I'm going to the doctor Monday. Hopefully some antibiotics will get rid of this constant cough. So no tournament this month :)
