Welcome to the A Class
Yay, it finally happened. I officially made it into the A class. Now my goal is to reach expert and break 2000.

I'm a class player who loves to play Swiss weekend tournaments in the Atlanta area. This is about my adventures on the tournament scene.

Hey, congratualtions. A very big accomplishment.
Great news! Congratulations! I hope to get started playing in some tournaments to see where I fall...
Regards,
Chris
Congrats, Chris! Bah to those nay-sayers that think De La Maza was a fluke!!! I really liked your last tournament result where you beat 2 Class A players. You're further inspiration to us wanna-be's. I gained 60 points USCF from last month, myself, and I hope to be in the Class B ranks soon. So, I raise my invisible wine glass to you and toast your continued success. I hope to be joining your ranks in a year or two.
Thanks everyone. My rating had fluctuated in B for some time now, and it's only after I did the de la Maza program that it became a lot more stable and I finally reached A. I think the program imparts discipline and focus as much as it does tactics and calculating ability. I thought I was alone in doing the program until I found your group here, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it works for all of you.
Chris, that would be great! Jump in there, man! :)
CelticDeath, congrats on your rating jump! You should reach B soon. Most of what separates C and B is tactical mistakes, and I believe you're working on the right area to improve :)
Congratulations!
Well done, Mr. Kilgore! I might just have to venture down to Atlanta and see if I can steal some of you Georgia boyz' rating points.
Thanks :) Sure, Don -- come on down :) Where are you? We get people from Tennessee and South Carolina fairly regularly.
Wow. Congrats man. Good to have inspiration from someone who went through the program.
